Andrew Krzywosz, a senior from Shelton High School, has been awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Excellence in History award for outstanding work in U.S. history and overall academic character.
Andrew was awarded an Excellence in History Bronze medal and Certificate by the Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mary Rozsa, the chairman of the American history awards, said Andrew represents the country’s future leaders. She noted that the DAR promotes American History throughout the year and encourages everyone to be more aware of their heritage.
The DAR perpetuates the memory and spirit of the men and women who won American independence. Any woman over 18 who can prove an ancestor served in the American Revolution is a prospective member.
