The Shelton High School girls soccer team presented a check for more than $1,800 to My Sister’s Place and The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services after their soccer game on Sept. 23. The funds were raised during this year’s summer soccer camp program.
My Sister’s Place, a unique thrift store and donation center, offers quality new and gently used clothing, furniture and housewares at discount prices. All proceeds from My Sister’s Place support BHcare’s The Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services (UCDVS). Each year UCDVS helps more than 6,000 adults and children who are experiencing domestic violence; all services are provided free of charge.
