Volunteer Samar Samander, from Sikorsky Aircraft, instructs a JA program at Booth Hill Elementary School.

One of the programs that was taught, JA Our City®, used hands on activities to introduce students to the basics of financial literacy, the characteristics of cities, and how people and businesses in cities manage their money.

Junior Achievement facilitates community-school programs where trained local business people volunteer their time in schools to teach students about a variety of topics including career and work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
